Twin Power

 Here is something you don't see everyday.  They are upgraded stock twin turbos for a 1JZ-GTE engine.  These are CT12 Toyota turbos.  The compressor wheel was laughably small and lacked the power in the upper RPM ranges, specifically over 6000 RPM.  These were upgraded using KKK compressor wheels, while leaving the exhaust side the same size for response.  They were also balanced to a high specification and thus actually have a better spool up than stock, even with the bigger compressor wheel.

  Here is the specification of the new upgraded turbo.  They are still small enough to be efficient yet larger than the Skyline R34 compressors.

 The compressor housing has been machined to accept the larger compressor wheel.  You can see the difference is dramatic.

 The exhaust housing has been cleaned and refreshed.  The backside is machined flat.  The existing stock turbine was reused.
